Compliance

Our compliance framework

Shinrai operates under a comprehensive compliance programme designed to meet AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer), and data protection obligations across our operating jurisdictions.

KYC and identity

All users are required to complete identity verification before transacting. We collect and verify government-issued identification documents and cross-reference against global sanctions lists.

Transaction monitoring

Every transaction is screened in real time against risk models and sanctions databases. Suspicious activity is escalated to our compliance team and reported to relevant authorities as required by law.

Sanctions screening

We screen all users and counterparties against OFAC, UN, EU, and HMT sanctions lists at onboarding and on an ongoing basis. Accounts matching sanctioned parties are blocked immediately.

Data protection

We comply with applicable data protection regulations including GDPR. Personal data is processed only for legitimate purposes, retained for the minimum necessary period, and protected with industry-standard security measures.

Certifications

Shinrai is SOC 2 Type II certified, demonstrating our commitment to security, availability, and confidentiality. We conduct annual third-party penetration tests and internal audits.

Reporting

We file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) with relevant financial intelligence units as required. We cooperate fully with law enforcement and regulatory requests under applicable legal frameworks.
